Asus P526 has finally come to market since most people have been waiting for 4 months, looking forward the release of this phone!
So, what make the Asus P526 so attractive? The advantage to that of course, is that Asus has managed to put Windows Mobile 6 in it. Don’t forget, Windows Mobile 6 is the latest revision of Microsoft’s operating system for portable devices.
It allows users for not going through the hassle of an upgrade if it had come with the older Windows Mobile 5.0 preloaded. To the design, as you can see on the picture, Asus has surprisingly incorporated no directional pad on the phone, but does comes with a scroll wheel on its side, which could be a special spot.
QWERTY keypad is not available as well, but having the compact keypad (alike Nokia N73) is better than nothing at all. If you were fussy with the keypad, don’t forget you can simply touch or write on the large 2.6 inch touchscreen presented. The handwriting recogniton seems to be your alternative text input method. Moreover, the users are allowed to key in text using T9, the predictive text input method most are familiar with on devices like Nokia and Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
Another highlighted feature is the built in GPS navigation in the form of the SiRFstar III chipset. To be honest, the device is lack of the popular function nowadays, which are the WLAN and 3G. This might lower down the value of the phone a bit on the market.

Anyway, Asus P526 is still a PDA / cellphone / GPS combo monster which might be really great!
