BenQ E55

A new mid-range 3G phone, E55, will be released by BenQ, the Taiwanese manufacturer. As a flipping mechanism, it surely comes with two hot display screens. The internal TFT screen is 2 inches in size and supporting 176 x 220 pixels.

The second external display screen comes with 1 inch and 65K CSTN model, supporting 96 x 64 pixels. It is a triband GSM phone that does not have outstanding Internet connectivities. Besides the 3G function, it features the basic GPRS. In other words, there is no high speed HSDPA or even EDGE, which is quite disappointed.

But well as a mid-range phone, honestly that’s enough. Coming to the entertainment part, this BenQ E55 sports MP3 and MPEG4 players to play the songs and videos you like.

However, there is a cool thing here, which is the 2 MP camera! As a 3G phone, absolutely there is a secondary VGA in front on the front display screen. A phone with camera seems to be a very common thing nowadays.
The 2 MP camera is good anyway! When it comes to battery, to me, Li-Ion 900 mAh seems to be quite weak. In standby mode, the Li-Ion battery can support up to acceptable 180 hours while only 2 hours 40 minutes for talktime, which is quite incredible.
In a summary BenQ E55 looks quite simple and user friendly if you do not demand much on those high end properties.
