HP has ventured into the smartphone by releasing the latest iPAQ, the 514 Voice Messenger, running on the standard version of Windows Mobile 6. As there is no tochscreen, this phone relies on just a standard phone keypad which are comfortably rounded and sit nicely in the hand.
The 514 features only the Wi-fi, no HSDPA and 3G. Therefore, the device can be integrated to office systems so that it can be used as a VoIP phone. An extra-long battery life of over 6 hours of talk time is provided in order to satisfy the demanding business users. Besides, as a Voice Messenger phone, the Voice Commander recognises voice commands for a range of jobs such as reading emails and text messages to you.
