The HTC Dream (or HTC G1) is an Internet-enabled smartphone designed and marketed by High Tech Computer Corporation of Taiwan. The HTC Dream will be the first phone to the market that will use the Android mobile device platform. It was released for pre-order through T-Mobile on September 23, 2008, and planned for availability in stores on October 22, 2008 in the US. It is priced at $179 if purchased with a two-year T-Mobile voice and data plan.
