i-mate has introduced its new Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone which is JAMA 201. JAMA 201 is a PocketPC that is powered by 300 MHz Samsung processor and sports 128 MB of ROM and 64 MB RAM which is a normal size.
Supporting triband GSM, GPRS and EDGE at 900/1800/1900 MHz as well. The Bluetooth version 2.0 is also available but the JAMA 201 lacks 3G, WiFi and UMTS. The device rocks a 2.5 inch TFT screen that displays 65,000 colors at a 640 x 480 pixels resolution.
The display is sharp and clear with vibrant colors and is great for viewing e-mail, images, and Web sites. You might know this–the i-mate Jama 201 is the first Windows Mobile smartphone to offer VGA display resolution. Fitting to its nice form factor, there is a full QWERTY keyboard just below the screen.
It sports a supersleek form factor (113 x 63 x 14 mm; 152g) and a polished look with its glossy black finish. For entertainment, there are a camera, JAVA and a nice Windows Media Player 10. The 2 Megapixel integrated digital camera with autofocus takes beautiful detailed photos.
Due to the integrated Java model playing the latest games with your JAMA 201 is not a problem. The Windows Media Player 10 supports you to have either video or music playback. i-mate JAMA 201 is not a bad phone unless you’re really care about the 3G, UMTS or Wi-Fi connectivities.
