This Samsung F400 make me first think about the Nokia superb N96. Why is that so? The Samsung F400 comes with a dual slide design which is same as Nokia N96. Looks quite simple and user friendly, exactly what this device eventually turns out to be.
Its design is far from being elegant, but will prove to be perfect for those looking for something that will not stand out, but won’t be too dull either.
At just 16.9mm, the F400 is trendy and slim and brings out users’ fashion style with its dual slide design. When you slide up the phone, you can see the normal alphanumeric keypad for text messaging and dialing.
However, while in slide-down position, the phone shows an independent big loudspeaker for music playback. It is quite different from the dedicated music buttons in N96.
The F400 is a handset focuses on audio. Samsung has worked with Bang & Olufsen (B&O) to incoporate the ICEpower audio amplifier that drives the external speaker.
